Michael Welch Talks About Edward’s Role In New Moon

MTV has a new interview with Mike Welch where he talks about Edward’s role in New Moon and exactly how often we’ll get to see him.

Without a doubt, huge groups of Twilighters all over the world fantasize about Edward Cullen every day. But as popular as breakout star Robert Patttinson has become, those who’ve read “New Moon” know that his character Edward is absent for much of the story. Now, we’ve got the scoop on director Chris Weitz’s dreamy solution to the problem.

“They figured out a very clever way to get Edward back in the film much more than he is in the book,” revealed “Twilight” series star Michael Welch when he stopped by the MTV studios recently, acknowledging that Weitz and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg have devised a plan to work around the “New Moon” plot — which has Edward breaking up with Bella (Kristen Stewart) early in the story and fleeing to Italy. “It’s more of, like, a hallucination kind of thing.”

Peter Facinelli Makes Good on Twitter Bet

What connects Beyoncé's "Single Ladies," a grown man dancing down Hollywood Boulevard in a bikini, a line of vampire fans and a $10,000 donation to the Christopher Reeve Foundation?

Why, Twilight star Peter Facinelli's Twitter page, of course.

Facinelli signed autographs for free at the Affliction clothing store on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles Tuesday as a give back to fans who helped him win a bet with his friend Rob DeFranco that he couldn't get 500,000 Twitter followers. "I kind of took this little bet, that was a silly little thing and I tried to make something positive out of it," Facinelli told PEOPLE.

The bet was initially started when DeFranco asked Facinelli if he could have Facinelli's on-set Twilight director's chair, which had Facinelli's name and the film's logo on it. Facinelli said "no" to his friend, but gave it away anyway after holding a free online drawing where fans around the country could register to win the unique item.

Rob DeFranco paid off his end of the bet too when he was forced to dance down Hollywood Blvd. Tuesday morning wearing a bikini and singing "Single Ladies," a fate chosen by his "sick and twisted Twitter followers," Facinelli said, adding, "who I love dearly."

Affliction also donated $10,000 to the Christopher Reeve Foundation on behalf of Facinelli's Twitter followers. At the signing Facinelli hugged fans, and even told one girl who was nearly hyperventilating as he signed her homemade poster that she's "very, very sweet."

"If I showed up today and there were three people you know it'd be really silly," Facinelli said. "It'd be me with a magic marker twiddling my thumbs. So I'm really happy that they came out."

Thank you to Twilight Overdose.

Five of the Sexiest vampires ever

ITN Extreme made a list of their top 5 of the Sexiest vampires ever.

Once a Jett, always a Joan Jett

Joan Jett is all about tough love.

The rocker gave Kristen Stewart, who plays a young Jett in the upcoming biopic “The Runaways,” a hard time last week, causing the young starlet to burst into tears on set.

Says an insider, “Joan just wants Kristen to play an authentic version of herself, so she needled her a little bit too much. But she apologized when she realized how upset Kristen got.”

At least there’s no bad blood between the two. Says our insider, “They’re like mother and daughter now.”

Better watch out, Joan — mess with Kristen and you’ll have Rob Pattinson to contend with.

The Secret To Meeting Peter Facinelli

The Examiner about the secret to meeting Peter Facinelli!
We got a spot only a block away, loaded up the single stroller with Eden and the double with Lexxie and our diapers bags stuffed with cameras and Twilight books to have signed.

We sat in line just around an hour or so and it went fast because of ridiculous conversation going on between us. It was also helpful when we befriended a security guard who thought my daughter was adorable. Shortly after making friendly with the guard guy, an Affliction store employee and another guard walk over and ask if we want to go straight into the store because Peter didn’t want babies waiting in line.
Peter is the first celebrity I have EVER met. I was trying to mentally prepare myself for when I actually got inside because I knew I’d be nervous…and I was. I was so pathetic.

When we got asked to go to the front of the line, and it was my turn to meet him, he said “We don’t want the little babies to have to wait in line.” and I said “Thank you so much”. I set my book down and he started signing to glossy print. He asked my name and I said “Elena. E.L.E.N.A. It’s hard to spell.” That’s all I could force out and it was barely a squeak.

New Moon Producers Speak Potential Spin-Off of Twilight Volturi

The Deadbolt News has an article which we thought was very weird… We don’t think this will happen, but it’s news and since it’s an interview, we thought we should post:

At the recent Vision Awards it was revealed that Twilight Saga fans may see a Twilight Volturi spin-off. Saturday night in Beverly Hills during the 2009 Vision Awards the cast of Twilight and New Moon cast, which included Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke and Christian Serratos, were in full red carpet Twilight Saga effect where RadarOnline was able to snag a quick chat Twilight related. More New Moon and Twilight news surfaced this week, as Radar reported on their Twilight chat with producers, Wyck Godfrey, Greg Mooradian and Guy Oseary who admitted a Twilight Volturi spin-off is possible.

As reported by RadarOnline, New Moon producers, Wyck Godfrey, Greg Mooradian were first in line as Godfrey mentioned the challenge of filming in Italy and trying to keep Robert Pattinson from being swallowed by the rabid Twilight and New Moon fans.

Twilight Saga fans take notice, as New Moon producer, Greg Mooradian, dished about a possible Twilight Volturi spin off to which Mooradian responded, “Stay tuned. I think if our movies do as well as the first did all possibilities are out there. But right now we need to finish what we have and finish Stephenie’s vision as best we can and then let’s see where the audience demands us to go from there.”

How about, Volturi: The Next Generation?
