Talk Of Fifth Twilight Film Was Premature

Yesterday we posted an interview of BooBoo Stewart (Seth) in which he stated that there will be a fifth Twilight movie. Access Hollywood spoke to a Summit rep who said that a fifth film is NOT guaranteed.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. –

New “Eclipse” cast member BooBoo Stewart sent the Twi-hards into a frenzy on Friday when he told Access Hollywood there would be two more movies in the “Twilight Saga” after the third chapter, “Eclipse.”

However, a rep for Summit Entertainment – the studio behind the hit vampire film franchise – has now told Access that BooBoo (who will join the big screen saga as wolfpack member Seth Clearwater in the next installment) was premature in his statements.

Although BooBoo has contract options for additional films after “Eclipse,” there are no guarantees yet that those films will be made.

And while a fourth film in the series is likely since there were four books in the popular Stephanie Meyer’s series, the studio could not confirm “Breaking Dawn” would make it to the big screen just yet.

“New Moon,” the second film in the series, will hit theaters on November 20. Filming on the third chapter, “Eclipse,” began earlier this month in Vancouver.

“Eclipse” will hit theaters in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
