Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and Anna Kendrick Shooting New Moon Theatre Scenes
Next week’s schedule is even hotter.
Didn’t realise Anna Kendrick was so little. Kristen is about 5 ft 4. No more. She towers over Anna. There’s a frame or two among these of director Chris Weitz and Michael Welch is in town for this too.
Also, Kristen has a great ass.
Oh and one more thing – Michael Arangano, Kristen’s boyfriend, was still in town as of yesterday. He’s come to visit a couple of times on set.

Taylor Lautner's Success Doesn't Surprise Robert Rodriguez
'New Moon' star made a big impression on his 'Sharkboy' director in 2005.
Back in 2005, an up-and-coming Taylor Lautner, then 13-years-old, auditioned to play a young superhero named Sharkboy and instantly won the heart of director Robert Rodriguez. Of course Taylor Launter got the role in "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D" and would eventually win the hearts of teen girls everywhere as werewolf Jacob Black in the "Twilight" franchise.
Rodriguez says he isn't at all surprised to see the now 17-year-old Lautner becoming a household name. He knew the young star possessed that "it" quality four years ago. "He was the first actor we saw for 'Sharkboy and Lavagirl' and we picked him right off," he explained to MTV News at the "Star Trek" premiere in Los Angeles. "He was the first actor who came in, and we knew he was the guy."
It was Lautner's natural charisma that won over the "Sin City" director. "He had so much personality," he said. "[He's] athletic [and] smart."
Now that Lautner is filming "New Moon" and rumored to be dating "Wizards of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez, it appears that he has found a place as one of the princes of young Hollywood. "It's no surprise to me that he was going to go on to great things," the director said. "We knew it immediately when we saw him."
Rodriguez is very unwilling to take any credit for Lautner's success, insisting that it's all Taylor's own doing. "He kind of made himself," Rodriguez said. "He may have walked in fully formed."
Anna Kendrick in Vancouver to shoot more scenes for New Moon
Anna Kendrick’s biggest splash to date has been the scene stealer in Twilight. Everyone I know who was forced to see it, and came away feeling dumber and ashamed, everyone noted that its few non-cringe moments were provided by Anna Kendrick. She’s charming.
There are brighter days ahead for Anna Kendrick. She doesn’t need Robert Pattinson. Because she’s working with George Clooney and unless you’ve lobotomised by Edward Cullen’s dazzle dust, you know that George Clooney >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Robert Pattinson.
The film, as mentioned earlier, is called Up In The Air. Directed by Jason Reitman. Anna has been nominated for a Tony Award, has already completed The Marc Please Experience with Ben Stiller and Jason Schwartzman, plays Stacey Pilgrim in the much anticipated Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, and has landed on several “ones to watch” lists even BEFORE her headlining features have been released.
This is a girl many people have been talking about.
Earlier this week, before arriving in Vancouver to shoot more scenes for New Moon (photos to come), Anna was in Omaha, Nebraska with Clooney/ Am told she was the sweetest, sat with the crew and the extras at lunch, very humble, totally unassuming, and can more than hold her own with George.
This is Anna yesterday before heading to work late night on set of New Moon in Vancouver. Set photos on the way.

New Theatre Set, Costumes, and Action At New Moon Set
From: VanCityAllie.
Amy and I had a great night out at the new theatre set for Twilight’s New Moon in Vancouver. They are filming all the exterior shots at this theatre. Again, two scenes happen here… one where Bella and Jessica go to Port Angeles for a movie, and a second scene where Bella, Mike, and Jacob have that awkward movie date with that scary movie, “The Dead Come Back.”
The crew and security at the set tonight were great. They were very friendly, nice, and appropriately strict. Appreciate you folks doing a great job! Everyone was safe and had fun.

There were a number of sidewalk shots, but most of the scenes were shot under the theatre overhang. Cranes and rigs held large diffused light globes, and the sidewalks were lined with bright lights. Plus two spotlights at each end of the block. This was the closest many fans have ever gotten to a Twilight set. It was incredible.

This was my first sighting of Chris Weitz, so it was great to see the New Moon director in a fabulous white sweater with a really cool black red and white scarf and jeans.

Mike Welch was looking dapper in a tan spring jacket and light blue button up shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers. Perfect for a date night out with Bella.

Taylor Lautner was in full getup as Jacob, and he looked good. Black jacket, dark shirt, and blue jeans. Wig looked great tonight and Taylor looked more chiseled than ever.

Got to see some scenes where Kristen was talking to Mike. I think she looks especially cute in this photo.

Didn’t get to see too much of Mike, but he seemed very comfortable on set and had a good time with the rest of the cast.

Got to see some pretty cool running scenes with Taylor Lautner. He looked very much in shape. Didn’t seem out of breath at all! (Great job Taylor’s dad and trainer :))

I’m still trying to figure out which scene in the book this is from. I don’t seem to remember him sprinting anywhere in the book during the movie scene.

His wig looked awesome

So awesome. TEAM JACOB!

Eventually they brought a truck by to spray the sidewalks down with water to make it look like it had just rained. They also sprayed the cars. Security joked with us that if we got wet they weren’t liable. It was fun to watch them set this scene up.

They started removing some of the screens in front of the set. Very cool things: They changed the sign on the theatre to “The Dead Come Back” and added an original movie poster!

I LOVE THIS MOVIE POSTER. I’m so glad they actually made a custom poster for the movie. How awesome would it be to get a print of one of these?

They had a ton of lights set up. I’m really surprised at how much it lit up the set at night.

Got to see Kristen Stewart and Anna Kendrick as Bella and Jessica.

Anna checks her script.

They both looked beautiful. Kristen as “Bella” was wearing a dark coat, with a blue hoodie and a casual shirt underneath, with blue jeans and Nike sneakers. A likely Bella costume! Anna as “Jessica” was wearing a very cute houndstooth pattern brown jacket with pockets, with a pink, coral and white shirts underneath. I like the necklace they chose for her. Blue jeans as well.

They seemed to get along really well on set. Both were laughing and talking almost the entire time they were shooting or relaxing on set.

Ladies looked lovely!

Getting their make-up checked on. I liked the subtle makeup they’ve been using for these characters. Really suits them.

ROLLING! Actual on-set movie footage.

Fun night! Hope everyone enjoyed the photos. I’ll have some videos to put up soon too, but it’s time for bed. Hopefully I’ll have ‘em up on the weekend. Enjoyed meeting everyone tonight at the set! You’re all cool chicas… nice to meet the new folks as well as see the regulars.
